A West Texas native, owner Jim Carroll has perfected the method of mobilizing a true barbecue pit. Jim is a blue collar Navy veteran pitmaster and family man. He is happy to make this incredible food with his family, and to satisfy customers throughout the Dallas Fort Worth metro area and the surrounding counties.

Meat and Greet is based in Arlington, Texas, and provides the entire DFW five county area with mobile delivery and catering offering unmatched smoked and barbecued meats. Our food and homemade recipes are extremely well received, and the catering menu keeps growing to stay up to date with what customers ask for.

Barbecue is the old school way of smoking meat with a real fire. The taste takes time, effort, and experience to get right.

The brisket is the star of the show, cooked entirely on pits for the best results. Pork is smoked bone in to lock in juicy, competition style flavor. Chicken and turkeys come out moist and tender, and there is butcher grade sausage because it is Texas. Every plate is prepared carefully, with fresh and high quality ingredients, giving preference to local producers.

Rest assured, Meat and Greet BBQ is licensed, insured, and background checked for your protection. Catering is the sole focus of the business, which is why the setup carries rigorous sanitary standards and the service stays professional and friendly at every event.

How booking works

A conversation, not a vending machine.

  1. 01

    Tell Jim about the event

Reach out with your date, your rough headcount, and what kind of event it is. Ordering starts as a conversation about who you are feeding.

  2. 02

    Build the spread together

Pick one, two, or three meats, choose your sides, and decide how you want it served. Mix and match, add a meat, or swap a side, and Jim will put together a quote that fits.

  3. 03

    Enjoy your own event

The food arrives hot and ready. With an employee served buffet or full service, the Meat and Greet team handles setup, service, and cleanup, so you can go be a host.

Word of mouth

“Jim was on time and delivered exactly what he said he would. The BBQ was excellent...brisket, ribs and chicken.”

“Meat & Greet was so easy to work with - very responsive and on top of everything. Our guests LOVED the food, especially the brisket!”

“This was our third time ordering from Meat & Greet BBQ and again, it was perfect. Before we ordered for our rehearsal dinner and then my husband’s 60th birthday. This time was for a family reunion with people coming from all over the U.S. Expectations were high for “real Texas BBQ” and the food did not disappoint. We had the brisket, pulled pork, green beans and cobbler. All disappeared. Thanks again Jim for great food and service!”

Let’s get BBQ on your table.

Tell Jim the date, the headcount, and the kind of event you are planning. He will build a spread around it and give you a real quote.
